It was an absolute amazing experience today. The Doctor was awesome the staff was fantastic. Absolutely incredible!

I have been going to Dr. Joiner for years and he has been the only doctor to help with my lower back pain and meralgia parasthetica in my left leg. He performs my epidural steroid injections as needed and so does his other PA Patrick. His PA Holly Martin is amazing and has been able to help keep my pain under control without oral pain meds until recently when the MRI she ordered showed that my back had gotten worse. She ordered me a surgical consult which is scheduled. Everyone in their office is so attentive, kind and treats you with respect. If you have to wait and that doesn’t occur often then this staff is worth waiting on!! I would not want to go anywhere else!! Other staff are amazing too! Susie, Brenda, Anthony, Stephanie and all the rest are amazing!! Sorry I can’t remember everyone’s name- brain freeze lol..They have my number one vote in knowledge and kindness!! Thanks so much!!

I was totally discouraged at my last appointment! I was left on the examining table for over an hour. I was lying on my stomach and I got leg cramps, had to go to the bathroom and was totally freezing. I am short and I have a difficult time getting off the table and I finally was off to go to the bathroom, I returned to the room and put my coat on to stay warm. I waited another 15 minutes and I went to the lobby to get warm. I told the receptionist when they were finally ready to give me my shots I would be in the L lobby trying to get warm. I was finally taken back and received the shots. The past two time the shots worked but didn’t this time. I drove home with a headache and completely worn out. I kept calling for someone to give me assistance to get off the table but no one showed up. I was there over 3 hours! This has never happened there before. I willl discuss it with my back doctor next week what I need to do now!

I have been a patient of Dr. Joiner’s at his Roanoke Office for more than 20 years. Unfortunately, I have endured 2 back surgeries with extensive hardware and it is not likely that my condition will ever improve. I decided after several years to help endure the pain to go back to nerve blocks. I had not seen Dr. Joiner in a number of years, but requested his expertise specifically. The most warm and welcoming folks you'll find are in this office! My most recent procedure was preformed with such skill and precision that the "bee sting" was all i felt. Dr Joiner is amazing I barely felt the procedure!

I had a neck ablation done and it was an awful experience. They took me back in a private room and gave me IM Versed but I did not have the actual procedure done for an hour after that so the medication had no effect. I told the X-ray technician that I did not feel the medication and she dismissed it as it was IM and said it stays longer in my system. I was placed on the procedure table on my stomach hooked up to the ground pad and I couldn’t move. She left and said her and the doctor would be back. I laid there in that position for 30 minutes with neck and back pain. The doctor came in and just immediately started chitchatting and started the procedure without apologizing for leaving me there for so long or asking if I’m ok. During this painful procedure, the doctor and the X-ray technician totally dismissed me and gossiped about the work place the entire time. Afterwards, no one gave me any aftercare instructions or anything helpful. They just pointed me to the checkout staff.

Thank you for allowing me to be your patient. You went above and beyond with my care, as well as educated me on my condition. Always so positive to talk to, highly recommend! Thank you for my care .

Holly Martin is a great provider. You can never get a message thru to her or her nurse for a return call between appointments which is a HUGE inconvenience for the caretakers of her patients at home. I've been going to Dr Joiner for the past 13+ yrs because he knows what he's doing! In my opinion he's the best in the business especially when it comes to injections. I Drive an hour and a half to see him and also Taryn Wilson for my pain management. They have been a blessing to me over the years and I owe them many thanks. I have had to sit in the waiting room for a longer time than expected a few times but I do understand that they have issues with other patients from time to time and that's OK with me because I know they would take all the time they need to with me as well. I'm very happy with the care I've been given by Dr Joiner and associates.

My appointment was at 0830, Nurse Brenda was right on time very knowledgeable of her practice, gave me all the details about my procedure, gave me a painless sedative and prepped me for Dr.Joiner. Dr.Joiner gave name two injections in my neck, left side and right side, no pain no fuss. He is truly a great physician and a good man.

Very friendly and helpful experience and Doctor Jointer is god sent the injection in my neck for Ruptured disc make a world of difference. I’ve been seeing him for five or six years and have always helped with without them. I may have already had To have surgery.

Since they out and out wouldn't see me due to "an accident" that was 5+ years ago being in my history, I think you should know. What difference does it make why I am hurting? I need medical care just as anyone else. If he's actually competent, then he shouldn't worry about WHY a patient is hurting. He should be trying to find out, with at least one eval, if he can help. PATHETIC that he makes enough money off of others that my pain and money doesn't matter

I was a patient of Dr Joiner many years ago. I recently need his specialty after all these years again. I wasnt surprised to once again have a very good experience with the spinal injections I received. If one is experiencing spinal pain,I would highly recomend Dr Joiners practice !

Very poor experience with long wait time even with the possibility of another patient having an emergency event.

Dr. Joiner is very skilled and genuinely empathetic. I benefit from my appointments. When I've had to reschedule, they work hard to see me soon. When he has to reschedule, I am always seen within a week, if not the same day at an earlier time. I have great appreciation for Dr. Joiner and his office staff.

The staff is nice and they keep interactions with them feeling personal and warm, while also being very professional and informative. My nerve ablation on my lower back went well and when there was a minor unexpected event during the procedure, which was no fault of Dr Joiner or his nurse, it was immediately corrected with no harm done and the rest of the procedure went according to plan with expected end results. All around a good experience from begining to end.

He and his associates are the kindness, caring people around. They are extremely hard working people who really care about their patients. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Dr Joiner himself is amazing.

When I walked in the procedure room, I heard gospel music playing. The music was very calming to me. Dr. Joiner explained what he was about to do before he did the procedure and questioned me to see if I was okay. I had a nerve block on each side of my neck and never felt either of them. Dr. Joiner and his staff are professional, conscientious, very friendly and care about their patient. They cared about and for this one. I was very pleased and highly recommend them.

Reception is super sweet. After that all goes out the window. That place is not for people with really bad issues. The pain I endured during my 2 hour wait just to see the Doctor was excruciating. No explanation why I was in the waiting room that long. Still had a long wait after they took me back. I was there for help with pain not to be induced to it. Friendly staff but that place not for me.

It's always a pleasure to see the nurses and doctors at this facility. Everyone is always in the best of spirits...

Twice I've had spinal injection in my back and both times had great results. I follow up with monthly visits and for over 2 years had no issues. Recently I've discovered more problems with different area of spine and had to return for another injection. They were able to schedule an appointment quickly and I have some reduced pain right away. I highly recommend this office and staff to anyone suffering with similar issues.

Dr Joiner and all of his staff were very helpful & friendly. This was my first visit at this office. My only concerns were that I was not provided with information regarding post injection expectations after my procedure was completed. I was also given a pink card to turn in at check out with no explanation as to the purpose. I also had no idea that I would need to repeat the injections every 14 weeks until I was checking out. I just felt that I should have been better informed throughout the process during my initial office appointment. However, I am confident that my next appointment will be much smoother!

I have never had an issue with any doctor, nurse, or the administration in this office. (And I believe I have seen them all!!) I would highly recommend this practice to anyone who has issues with pain management. Patients know beforehand there may be a wait due to unforseen circumstances that may arise throughout the day. Dr. Joiner, his medical staff dealing with my pain issues, as well as his nursing staff, the office staff have been an understanding and compassionate presence . The procedures were professionally done with mostly effective results. Having been a critical care nurse for 17 years before my TBI disabled me, I can see the effort as well as the professionalism. I wish that I had found them sooner in my 32 year long struggle with the profound changes in my life.

The procedure was performed in a timely manner. The wait time was shorter than I’ve ever waited. I’m actually pain free since procedure. I only have muscle soreness. Thank you do very much!!

Tried calling over the weekend to get their first names since I’m awful with names and have wanted to do a Google review for some time now. I’d especially like the opportunity to share my experience with Patrick Kenney too but I’ve been unable to find where to share feedback for him specific. If there’s a way to do so I’d love to provide feedback for him in addition to Joyner’s office. I can say that of all medical offices I’ve met with since March 2023 shingles turned into September unexpected mayhem, this is the first office where I feel at home, comfortable discussing symptoms openly despite some being very embarrassing, and felt the time, compassion, caring & intellect as I was lucky enough to be assigned an extremely brilliant yet kind and patient doctor to handle my case. I did see alot of negative reviews before my procedure about wait times. Seriously folks?! They aren’t longer than other offices and the wait time you experience you get paid back with the staff and doctors equally as patient and invested in you. If I could give more than 5 stars for the facility I would.

Well I was scared the first visit and then when a year later came for for 3rd visit it looked to me that my back was worse and he said because of the arthritis it was getting worse I can see my problem you allow the patient to see what your spine looks like and tells you the truth I appreciate that. Patrick and Anthony were very careful to give me the best care possible. I talked too much, for I was nervous, and when I spoke too softly, each one would ask, “what did you say?” That definitely conveys warm caring people who want the best for me. Dr. Joiner is great. This was my 2nd visit with him and the 1st was an injection and the 2nd was an Epidural. I was so nervous about both and even more afraid for the Epidural but he made me feel so relaxed. He walked me through both and before I knew it, the process was over. I've always been seen pretty fast. Early morning appointments, waiting room is not crowded. Dr Joiner has been great. I've seen him for 2 years.

The folks in the office are great in Roanoke are great. Don't really care for the policy setup in Wytheville but, it is what it is.

My experience with this office has always been great, granted wait times may vary as unexpected things can happen I personally can't complain.

Dr. Joiner is both pleasant and quite technically adroit, and I so appreciate all his efforts in skillfully addressing my multiplicity of pain issues over the years. I really appreciate Kathy Phillips, PA-C, as well, her patience and thoroughness in assessing my, at times, challenging myriad of issues and efficiently guiding me through appointments and procedures has been invaluable. Communication channels from patient to (and from) these dedicated health care professionals can be frustrating but is worth it to get the care and pain relief that I have consistently received.

I have been going to Dr Jointers for a few years now. They are the most carning and conpassiont team of Dr and Nurses that I have expernenced. I love beening in their pain managment programe.

Great at what he does. Hardly any pain

The receptionist was nice and respectful, the nurse was also and the doctor and assistant were extra nice in making sure I was comfortable before getting my shot—a calm, cheerful attitude of everyone.
